Neil Simon, from Hartside Gardens, decided to bleach his dark hair blonde in return for donations for the North Tees and Hartlepool Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust during the coronavirus pandemic.
The 45-year-old wanted to do his bit to help the NHS during this difficult time but wanted to do something that would abide by the Government’s lockdown rules.

Paddy, who is known for presenting Take Me Out and starring alongside fellow comedian Peter Kay in a number of shows, had bleached his own dark hair blonde and shared his dramatic new look on Instagram.
In a post on his JustGiving page ahead of the challenge, Neil said: “Whilst the major NHS charity is raising millions of much needed funds from the kind generosity of the people, I thought I'd try and do something a bit more local helping our local services during these difficult times.
“I have ordered all the professional kit to hopefully help me transform my barnet into a lovely platinum blonde colour after getting inspiration from Paddy McGuinness and his bleach challenge on Instagram.”
