The seven-year-old is running one mile every day for 26 days and started her challenge on April 1. She is raising sponsorship for the charity – its fundraising has been hit hard by the coronavirus outbreak.

She goes out running once a day with her dad and varies her route. She enjoys warming up before the run and has found that with each mile, she is getting gradually faster.

Idha has supported Alice House in the past, taking part in the Santa Fun Run, Unicorn and Dragon Hunt, as well as attending other events such as the Summer and Christmas Fayres.

At home, she collects spare change and pocket money in a Hospice Home Collection Box, which is donated to the charity each time it is filled.

When she heard that Alice House needed extra help, she was keen to get her trainers on and take part and she wants to thank the hospice for looking after the patients and all of her sponsors for helping her to raise money.

Idha has an online giving page and has also been pledged sponsorship that will take her total to over £600 (at the time of writing).

“She has raised an incredible amount so far.”
