“She always brought laughter and humour to any event. There was never a dull moment in Durham Monsoon, when you called the store to speak to Susan, you would hear her laugh before she even got close to the phone.”
Another work friend said: “Susan was caring with a huge heart.
“She had so much love for her team and colleagues, she was always there to help and support in any way she could, even if it was just to give you a famous Susan squeeze or to brighten your day with a song!”

Hide AdWhen she was admitted to hospital all her friends, old and new, at the store held a collection so she and her partner Neil could enjoy a weekend break away when she was better.
But now the money from her workmates together with donations from her neighbours in Calley Close has been given to Hartlepool's Alice House Hospice.
Neil and her friends knew it would be Susan’s wish to support the hospice as she had often spoken of the love and care given to her mum and family when she was looked after by the hospice in 2017.
To date £570 has been donated in Susan’s memory.
Rebecca Jobson, senior manager communications at Alice House, said: “I would like to offer my sincere condolences to Susan’s family and friends and thank them for thinking of Alice House at what must be an extremely difficult time.”
