Stagecoach launches recruitment campaign for new drivers across Teesside
Bus operator Stagecoach has launched a recruitment campaign for new drivers.
The company is creating around 20 new bus driver jobs across Teesside after being awarded new work with recruitment now underway at Stockton and Hartlepool depots.
The bus operator is encouraging both experienced PCV licence holders and people with a standard UK car driving licence to apply.
The new drivers will support bus services across Stockton, Middlesbrough, Hartlepool and the wider Teesside area.

Colin Newbury, Operations Director at Stagecoach North East, said: “Our drivers are at the heart of everything we do. They provide an essential service that helps people get to work, education, appointments and time with family and friends, while delivering excellent customer service every day.
“These new roles offer the opportunity to join a supportive team, develop new skills and build a rewarding long-term career with Stagecoach.”
Stagecoach says new recruits will benefiting from comprehensive training, ongoing development opportunities and the chance to play a vital role in keeping Teesside moving.
The vacancies include opportunities at Stagecoach's flagship Stockton depot on Portrack Lane – the company's first fully electric depot in the North East.
Mr Newbury added: “We're delighted to be creating around 20 new driving opportunities across Teesside following the successful award of new work.
“Whether you're an experienced bus driver or you're looking for a completely new career, we'd love to hear from you. If you hold a full UK car driving licence, we'll provide all the training and support you need to become a qualified bus driver.
