Two men arrested as part of major Hartlepool sex attacks inquiry released on bail

Cleveland Police confirmed on Thursday, December 10, that a 25-year-old man was detained on suspicion of rape and a 45-year-old man was detained on suspicion of attempted rape and sexual assault “following a three-month investigation reportedly involving a number of adult female victims”.
The force said that searches were being carried out on Thursday at a “commercial premises” on York Road, in Hartlepool, as part of the investigation.

Hide AdToday, (Friday) police have confirmed that the two men arrested have been released on bail pending further enquiries.
