Work to begin on 370 'much-needed private and affordable' new Hartlepool houses
and on Freeview 262 or Freely 565
Plans for a wider neighbourhood of 570 homes by Bellway and Miller Homes off Merlin Way, Hartlepool, were conditionally approved by Hartlepool Borough Council in February this year.
The planning agreement will see the housebuilders investing more than £2.3 million in local infrastructure and facilities.

Hide AdBellway’s development, which will be called Hartwell Park, will comprise a mix of two, three and four-bedroomed homes, and include a public open space and play area.
As well as providing 303 private homes, the scheme will also include 67 affordable homes available through shared ownership or rent.
A new roundabout on the A179 will provide access to the development.
Oliver Wray, sales manager for Bellway Durham, said: “Following the planning deal for Hartwell Park being agreed, we aim to start construction work on site imminently.

With construction now set to begin, the first homes are expected to be released for sale this summer.
