It’s been a fun-filled week in Hartlepool as the town’s annual carnival made a triumphant return in 2021 after being cancelled due to the Covid pandemic last year.

As celebrations came to an end following a colourful and exciting parade day on Saturday, August 8, we asked the Mail readers to send in their favourite pictures from the carnival this year.
