Person helped from Hartlepool beach after injuring leg while out on sand dunes

Firefighters worked alongside paramedics to help a patient reach an ambulance after they were injured while out on Hartlepool’s coastline.

Two appliances from Hartlepool were sent to a stretch of the beach near the Brus Tunnel and West View to help ambulance crews assist a casualty who had hurt their leg on the sand dunes.

The firefighters transported the patient to hard standing and then into the ambulance.

The incident happened yesterday, Sunday, February 28, at 2.26pm, and the crews left the scene by 3.40pm.
