Police called to Hartlepool crash after car comes off road at roundabout on New Year's Day

Police were called to a crash in Hartlepool on New Year’s Day after a car came off a roundabout.

The incident took place on the roundabout which connects Front Street with the A179 at around 9am on Friday, January 1.

Photographs from the scene show the car in a water-logged grassy area on the side of the road with its front smashed in, while the sign on the roundabout itself had been knocked down.

Cleveland Police were unable to provide details on the incident when contacted.

North East Ambulance Service confirmed that they were not required.

The car was removed from the scene at around 10.30am.
