Drivers are being warned of severe disruption in the coming days after a gas leak was discovered in Hartlepool town centre

Hartlepool Borough Council issued a statement saying Northern Gas Networks has detected a gas leak at the junction of York Road and Park Road junction.

The statement read: “It is proposed to start repair works on the 11th July. The works will be carried out using four-way lights. It is expected that this will lead to severe disruption to traffic in the Hartlepool town centre area.”
