It also states the cafe wants to be able to serve alcohol from 11am until 7pm Monday to Saturday, and 11am until 5pm on Sundays.

The licensing application also includes them seeking to play recorded music from 9am until 7pm Monday to Saturday and 10am until 5pm on Sundays.

It states: “We wish to play a playlist from Spotify which will be family friendly and played at a minimal volume so that people can enjoy their refreshments in a relaxed atmosphere.”

They also say how they will have plans in place to ensure Lyla Belle’s complies with all licensing objectives.

It states: “We will train the staff to promote all of the licensing objectives. We will not tolerate disorderly behaviour, including the consumption of customer’s own alcohol or drugs.

“We will promote the safety of the public, and especially children at all times.

“Staff reserve the right to refuse service to anyone acting disrespectfully to staff or others.

“We will put a notice up to encourage people to be respectful to the public when leaving the cafe, and we will put up posters to encourage people to drink responsibly and deter them from drink driving.

“Our open hours fit that of the retail park.”

They also noted CCTV will be installed at the site and all staff will be trained on the safeguarding of children within the business.

Work is currently ongoing to prepare the site and signs state the cafe will be ‘coming soon’.
