The Milgrams have produced a promotional music video to raise vital funds for the Hartlepool United Academy.

The well-known band, renowned for their lively renditions of punk, Indie and Ska classics, filmed their promotional charity video of the Sham 69 classic ‘If The kids Are United’ at a Hartlepool coal yard.

Footage was also recorded before and during Pool’s game against Torquay United to use in the video to go with it.

The remastered 70s classic music video has been released on major music platforms iTunes, Google play, Amazon music and YouTube, with help from The Friends of Hartlepool United FC and the Club’s Media Department.

Having already received 11,000 views on The Milgrams Facebook page, drummer Allan McPhail commented: “It’s been a great experience recording the track and producing the video on location in the town.

“The reaction to it and the support it has received has been overwhelming.”

Tony Norman, of Positive Poolies Social networks supporters group, added: “We really hope it sells well as it’s had loads of shares and it would be fitting if the club used it for their run out music this season.”

A spokesperson for Hartlepool United Football Club said: “The new football season is a fantastic time for supporters to get behind the track and to help raise funds for the town’s future sporting stars coming through in our Academy.”
