Promises are being dropped

Although Theresa May has made a very positive start to her premiership, it would appear that promises made about curtailing migration numbers are already being dropped.

This may be paper talk but it seems to have been endorsed by the Home and Foreign secretaries.

I hope this is merely a negotiation stance and not a policy decision.

Many who voted to leave the EU will feel cheated, if true, by this new administration and it will generate huge distrust of this Government.

Many are prepared to give her the benefit of the doubt but this honeymoon period will soon be over.

It also would seem that more UKIP manifesto policies are being usurped by this Government.

To date we have had Boris Johnson et al backing an Australian points system, grammar schools now get a mention from the Education Secretary, and I expect more of our UKIP policies being utilised by the Tories.

Still I suppose that the adoption is a form of flattery.
