Who remembers the old bus station in Hartlepool? The photograph was taken in the 1970s and shows buses packed into the station.

Of course, we have the new interchange now but this was the hive of activity.

A second photograph harks back more than 50 years when the latest ship built at Grays shipyard headed down the slipway following its naming ceremony.

Who has memories of Hartlepool’s days of shipbuilding. Did you work there or did you watch the ships head out to sea? Tell us more.

Our third photograph shows a tradition which is still going strong. Horden is pictured on the march at the Durham Miners’ Gala in the 1950s.
