Savannah Marshall set for Bulgaria test as former foe mocks Hartlepool fighter on social media
Savannah Marshall will fight on the undercard of Hughie Fury's IBF world title eliminator in Bulgaria.
Fury, who trains alongside Marshall under the tutelage of Peter Fury, has been pitted against Kubrat Pulev on foreign soil on Saturday, October 27.
This fight, staged for Bulgarian capital Sofia, is an eliminator to face fully fledged IBF champion Anthony Joshua.
And the Hartlepool fighter, unbeaten in her professional career to date, is set fight as one of the chief supports.
The contest is set to be shown live on Channel 5.
Marshall has so far beaten Sydney LeBlanc on the undercard of Floyd Mayweather v Conor McGregor, before stopping Ester Konecna and Alejandra Ayala to maintain her '0' with relative ease.
This positive start to life in the paid ranks undoubtedly puts former Headland ABC star Marshall on a collision course with former foe Claressa Shields.
Marshall has beaten Shields before, something no one else has managed to do.
And it's obviously something that sticks in the American's throat.
This weekend she tweeted a picture of her picking up gold at the AIBA Women's World Boxing Championships, with Marshall picking up bronze with the words "Who’s the girl on the 3rd podium???"
