Shopping centre is in award finals

Hartlepool's Middleton Grange Shopping Centre is in the running for national honours for the way it makes its workers feel valued.

Thrilled bosses revealed that the venue is a finalist in the UK Employee Experience Awards 2016 in the Employee Engagement category.

Centre manager Mark Rycraft said: “We are absolutely thrilled to be announced as finalists for this prestigious award.”

He said the centre was working hard to “encourage engagement and training for the team, this promotes a working environment in which all employees feel valued, and it means a lot to be recognised for the team’s efforts.”

“Productivity has increased and we have had very encouraging feedback from the team who are all committed to making the centre a better place to work.”

Finalists in each of the 20 categories of the awards will present their entry to a team of specialist judges at The Park Plaza Riverbank, in London on May 4.

Then, the winners will be announced during a gala luncheon on the same day.
