Six women arrested in Hartlepool after man suffers injuries to face

Six women have been arrested, five on suspicion of assault and one on suspicion of obstructing police, after a man was injured in a house in Hartlepool.

Police were called to a house on Marshall Close, Hartlepool, at around 8.50pm on Saturday, January 23, following reports that a man sustained facial injuries.

The man, aged 19, was taken to hospital by ambulance and released on Sunday, January 24.

Police have not revealed how the man was injured.

At least five police vehicles and two ambulances were called to the scene, to deal with the incident.

Police say all the women arrested have been bailed pending further inquiries.

A Cleveland Police spokeswoman said: "Police were called to an address on Marshall Close, Hartlepool, at around 8.50pm on Saturday, January 23, following reports that a man had facial injuries.

"The man was taken to hospital by ambulance and left hospital on Sunday, January 24.

"All have been bailed pending further inquiries. "
