Stagecoach and Arriva freeze travel tickets

BUS companies have frozen the price of their ‘go as you please’ travel tickets.

Stagecoach North East and Arriva have kept fares for their Easyrider bus tickets at 2013 prices.

The tariffs range from £19.70 a week for travel across Teesside to Billingham, Stockton, Middlesbrough and Thornaby with an Easyrider pass, up to £26 a week for the All Zone Easyrider, covering Teesside, Hartlepool and East Cleveland.

Managing director of Stagecoach North East, Phil Medlicott, said: “Teesside offers many different attractions and there are plenty of things to see and do, which is why we were delighted to keep the prices the same as last year. These tickets offer excellent value for regular travel around the region and, for no extra cost, passengers can also be spontaneous and have great days out when the weather is nice.”
