Teenager exposed himself to woman in Hartlepool who refused to give him cigarette

A teenager who exposed himself to a woman in Hartlepool after she declined to give him a cigarette is being sought by police.

Police are appealing for information after an indecent exposure in Hartlepool.

The incident happened in Burn Valley Gardens at about 4pm on Sunday, January 10.

The woman was approached by the man, who asked her for a cigarette.

When she refused, he exposed himself before running towards Baden Street when she got her phone out.

The man is described as white, 16 or 17 years old, and of very slim build, while he was wearing black clothing and a black woolly hat.

Anyone with information which could help identify the suspect is asked to contact PC Julie Bell of Hartlepool Police Office using the non-emergency number 101.
