Teenager taken to hospital after Hartlepool collision
A teenager was taken to hospital after he was hit by a car in Hartlepool last night.
The 17-year-old was hit by a Silver Renault in Oxford Road shortly before 11pm.
Firefighters from Stranton Fire Station helped a crew from the North East Ambulance Service to get him onto a stretcher and he was taken to North Tees Hospital.
He was not seriously hurt and has been released.
