The work will accommodate the expansion of Fujifilm Diosynth Biotechnologies (FDB), in Belasis Avenue, Billingham, into a new BioCampus on the former Billingham House site on the north side of the road.
Changes to the area’s road network are needed to create a single secure boundary around the expanded site.

Councillor Bob Cook, leader of Stockton Borough Council, said: “We know that road closures are inconvenient to road users. But we’ve scheduled as much of the work as possible to take place during the school summer holidays so as to minimise disruption.
Utility diversion works are due to complete before the school summer holidays with temporary lane closures and traffic signals in operation at the junctions of Belasis Avenue and Cowpen Lane as well as Belasis Avenue and Central Avenue.
The main works are set to start on Monday, July 19, with an initial phase set to last until the end of the school holidays.
