Petrol and diesel prices have soared to record new levels in the past week amid warnings the rise will continue in the wake of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
Figures from data firm Experian Catalist show the average cost of a litre of petrol at UK forecourts was 155.62p on Sunday, March 6, up from 151.16p on Monday, February 28.
