A tribute to the heroes who gave their lives in battle

Patrick Moran, Stoker, aged 42, who was the son of Thomas and Catherine Moran of Clifford, Boston Spa, Patrick was the husband of Ellen Moran of Cleveland Street, Hartlepool; HMS INVINCIBLE.

Alexander Spence, Stoker, aged 21, who was the son of James Irvine Spence and Elizabeth Richardson Spence of Newton Bewley; HMS INVINCIBLE.

William Thomas, Stoker 1st Class, aged 22, who was the son of David and Mary Jane Thomas of Florence Street, West Hartlepool; HMS INVINCIBLE.

Benjamin Lupton, Able Seaman, aged 26, who was the son of Robert George and Maria Jane Lupton, of Acclom Street, West Hartlepool; HMS QUEEN MARY.

Robert Robinson Smyth, Boy 1st Class, aged 16, and who resided at West Hartlepool; HMS QUEEN MARY.

John Thomas Broom, Stoker, aged 19, who was the son of John and Eliza Maria Broom of Alfred Street, Hartlepool; HMS QUEEN MARY.

Joseph Burns, Stoker, aged 30, and who lived at Bedford Street, West Hartlepool; HMS QUEEN MARY.

Herbert Henry Greenwell, Stoker, aged 36, who resided at Streatham Street, West Hartlepool; HMS QUEEN MARY.
