Hartlepool History Tour, by Paul Chrystal, Stan Laundon and Simon Crossley, features dozens of shots of the town.

“It is a ‘best of’ book; it takes the best bits from our three books on Hartlepool and puts them together,” said Paul.

“This is a compilation of the most intriguing, and revealing, photographs of ‘old’ Hartlepool and West Hartlepool.”

The book, as the title suggests, takes the form of an illustrated tour of the area – featuring the most important aspects of history.

“You can use the book as a guide and take it with you on a journey through time from Seaton to the Headland,” said Paul.

“Or, you can just sit and read through it at a leisurely pace with a cup of tea, or a pint or two of Cameron’s.”
