Two people taken to hospital after Hartlepool house fire

Two people were taken to hospital by ambulance after emergency services were called to a house fire in Hartlepool in the early hours of Monday, September 7.

Cleveland Fire Brigade confirmed that its crews were called to the scene – in Kimberley Street, Hartlepool – at 1am on Monday following reports of a house fire.

Three engines from Hartlepool and Stockton fire stations attended and remained at the scene for more than an hour.

A statement from the fire service said: “The fire brigade administered first aid to two casualties who were taken to hospital by ambulance.

"Two breathing apparatus, one hose reel, thermal imaging camera and positive pressure ventilation fan [were] used.

"Damage was 50% fire damage to living room, smoke damage to the remainder of the house.”

The incident was logged as being under control shortly before 2.20am on Monday.
