Two teenagers and a man arrested by police investigating spate of attacks on cars

Police investigating damage caused to 22 vehicles in Billingham have arrested two 16-year-old boys and a 37-year-old man.

Police received 22 reports of damaged vehicles in total across Billingham on Monday evening.

Most cars had windows smashed, however, some were driven into, causing damage to garages and other vehicles.

The first report was made at 8.35pm on Devon Crescent and subsequent reports were made on Marton Drive, Stokesley Crescent, Atwick Close, Skripka Drive, Bowes Road, Flodden Way, Hastings Way, Redworth Road, Cockfield Avenue, Weardale Crescent and Bannockburn Way.

The suspected vehicle used in the incidents was recovered yesterday afternoon in the Billingham area.

One boy and the man remain in custody and the other teenager has been released on bail pending further inquiries.
