Two people from Sea View, Blackhall Colliery, will be celebrating today after scooping the £1,000 daily prize after their postcode, TS27 4AX, came out in the draw.

One of the winners plays with two tickets meaning their prize will be doubled to £2,000.

The cash will be paid directly into the winners’ bank accounts.

Players of People’s Postcode Lottery play with their postcodes and they have a chance to win prizes every single day of the week. For the Daily Prize, five winning postcodes are announced each day from Monday to Friday and each winning ticket is worth £1,000.

55p from every £2 ticket goes to good causes. So far players of the charity lottery have raised an amazing £99.6million for charities across Great Britain and internationally.
