WATCH: Fan film Ripper: A Batman Fan Story released on YouTube

A superhero fan flick which pits Batman against Jack the Ripper on the streets of Hartlepool has been released.

The film, which was produced by Adam Bouabda and written and directed by James Campbell, went onto YouTube yesterday.

It has more than 2,000 views and around 200 likes so far.

The 20-minute production was filmed mostly in Hartlepool - and as you watch the events unfold, you may spot landmarks including the Historic Quay, HMS Trincomalee and Borough Hall, as well as the Victorian street at Preston Park.

Each of the chosen locations is used as an 1888 backdrop, following the serial killer on the final days of his murderous spree.

Ripper, which was uploaded to James Campbell's YouTube channel, has also attracted more than 70 comments from viewers.
