Hour-by-hour forecast as Storm Dennis is set to bring 'very strong winds' to Hartlepool

The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning of “very strong winds” for Saturday, February 15 and Sunday, February 16 when Storm Dennis is due to hit.

The warning will come into force at around 10am on Saturday and shows no sign of leaving until midnight on Sunday.

Forecasters have warned that the blustery winds could cause disruption.

The Met Office forecast for Saturday, February 15 to Tuesday, February 18 said: “After a dry start, turning very wet with gales by late morning due to Storm Dennis. Heavy and persistent rain likely at times, especially across the Pennines, and continuing overnight. Maximum temperature 12 °C.

“Overnight rain likely clearing, but staying very windy on Sunday and Monday, with frequent heavy and blustery showers, especially across the Pennines. Showers and winds on gradually easing Tuesday.”
