According to the Met Office forecasters, our region is set to enjoy a fine day with sunshine and a freshening northeasterly breeze.
Highs of 20°C are expected in Hartlepool with temperatures remaining fairly warm into the evening and overnight.

The warning read: “Some places are likely to see severe thunderstorms early next week - but there is significant uncertainty in location and timing.”
