According to the Met Office forecasters, our region is set to enjoy a hot day with ‘thundery downpours’ developing into the weekend.

Highs of 24°C are expected with temperatures remaining warm into the evening and overnight.

Temperatures are set to continue on Friday but there is a possibility of thunderstorms spreading by the afternoon and into the evening, torrential rain and hail is a possibility.
