Met Office issue yellow weather warning ahead of 'very strong winds' this weekend

The alert, announced on Tuesday, February 4, warns of “very strong winds” which could have an impact across the country and cause disruption over Saturday, February 8 and Sunday, February 9.
The warning, which affects most of the UK, will come into force at around 6pm on Saturday and run until midnight on Sunday.

Hide AdForecasters have warned that the blustery winds could cause disruption to travel, damage to property and power cuts.
Coastal areas could also be affected by waves and spray.
Despite the wind, the weather is expected to be sunny in Hartlepool on Saturday, with temperatures between 9°C and 5°C.
But Sunday will bring heavy rain to the town, with the worst of it expected between 9am and 12pm.
Temperatures will hit a weekend peak of around 11°C at around 3pm on Sunday.
