What is going on with the House Of Fraser Twitter account?

A number of strange tweets, mostly made up of emojis, have been dominating the Twitter account of a retail giant today.

The odd posts, which include pictures of supermodel Adriana Lima, Gigi Hadid and Kanye West, began around earlier this morning on the House Of Fraser official Twitter account (@houseoffraser).

Some show pictures of celebrities with emojis placed into the pictures, and many just consist of emojis entirely.

The account photograph has even been changed to a house emoji image, and the hashtag "#emojinal" is also being used across the account's messages.

House Of Fraser has revealed that its social media channels are being taken over by emojis in the run-up to Valentine's Day, after research revealed that 72% of 18 to 25-year-olds prefer the smartphone tool, rather than words, to express their feelings.
