When life was really tough
Something someone told me,
You might like to hear.
When she was a child
She was always in a chair.
With everyone above her,
She was always looking up.
At her home for the disabled,
Where life was really tough.
When from a nearby garrison
Came guys with smiling eyes.
Arms were put around her,
And she was lifted high.
She was lifted high,
As the star upon the tree.
Gladly looking down
On her Christmas company.
