The 15-year-old won the Performer of the Year category at last year’s Best of Hartlepool competition and there’s been no stopping the singer since.

Proud mum Nicola said Georgia was leading lady Christine Daae in Durham’s Gala Theatre Stage School production of The Phantom of the Opera, won Musicians of the Festival at the Hartlepool Music and Arts Festival with Ethan Scott in a duet of The Prayer, and successfully auditioned for the Samling Academy, which trains young classical singers.

She had “an unforgettable experience” taking part in the 2015 Proms at the Royal Albert Hall as part of the BBC Youth Choir, and was cast as the Mother Abbess in English Martyrs School & 6th Form annual production of The Sound of Music.

But success is not just confined to the past year. It is continuing for the Hartlepool youngster. Next month, she will perform in the Gala Theatre’s GTSS Goes to the Movies concerts.

Nicola added: “She has been invited to sing at various weddings throughout last year and has two coming up so far this year.

“She was also invited to put together a 30-minute set of Christmas songs for a charity event in aid of Butterwick Hospice.

“As well as all of this she managed to gain 5A*’s and 5A’s in her GCSE’s and squeeze in Prom too.

“She thoroughly enjoyed the Best of Hartlepool awards evening and performing there too. She was thrilled to be nominated, particularly by her school, she was pleased that they recognised all her hard work.”
