Woman left needing hospital treatment after attempted burglary in Hartlepool

A woman was left needing hospital treatment after a man attempted to burgle a shed at her Hartlepool home.

The incident took place on Monday, November 27, when a man tried to break into a shed at the property in the Thornhill/Rye Hill Gardens area.

When the man was disturbed in the garden by the victim - a 38-year-old woman - he pushed her to the ground before running off.

As a result, the victim sustained bruising to her face and body and received treatment in hospital.

The man is described as being in his 30s and around 5 ft 8” to 5 ft 10” tall and wearing all black.

Cleveland Police are appealing for information regarding the incident or the man responsible.
