The Pools boss brought in Rhys Oates up front after Connor Simpson took a knock in the 1-0 win over Dagenham & Redbridge.

Simpson has travelled to the Racecourse Ground but has not been risked so Oates leads the line, making his first start of the season.

There was a change on the bench where defender Louis Laing returned to the squad.

Wrexham lost their second keeper of the season with Christian Dibble, son of ex-Wrexham and Pools stopper Andy, ruled out so on-loan Callum Roberts came in.

Up front, boss Dean Keates replaced Ntumba Massanka with Scott Boden.
