Hartlepool Borough Council has 33 councillors.
Who on earth came up with the idea of another three (Mail, August 3)?
Surely we should be reducing councillors?
I am in the Victoria ward and I’m sure we could spare two.
The town is going downhill – no support in the area.
I am sure reducing councillors down to 11 would save the town a considerable amount of money.
Then they would have to pull their weight, and we would see what we are getting for our money.
At present, very little.
