Letter of the week: 'To call Hartlepool's Church Street a conservation area is a joke'
Bureaucracy has gone mad (Mail, September 10).
How can Hartlepool Borough Council’s planning department justify the comments made regarding the new door fitted at Evolution Training based in Scarborough Street?If they are not happy with the appearance of the door, because it’s out of keeping with the Church Street conservation area, give Evolution a grant to have it replaced, as offered to the occupiers of buildings in Church Street.
To call Church street a conservation area is a joke.
