Greece has brought in new face mask rules for tourists - and fines for those who disobey them
Visitors to Greece must now wear face masks in numerous public spaces, as officials have tightened rules in an attempt to stop the spread of coronavirus.

Where do I have to wear a face mask?
Face masks must now be worn inside retail shops, food stores, hair salons, bakeries, offices and banks in Greece.
It was already compulsory for them to be worn at supermarkets and on public transport, as well as lifts, taxis and for staff serving customers at restaurants, bars and cafes.
Churches are currently exempt from the rules.

Residents and visitors who are found breaking the new rule will face fines of €150 (approximately £135).
Travel subject to entry requirements
It’s also worth noting that travel to Greece is subject to entry requirements. These are:
- You will need to complete a Passenger Locator Form at least 24 hours before travel. Failure to do so in advance may result in your carrier not allowing you to travel, a 500 Euro fine on arrival or the Greek authorities not allowing you to enter the country
- You may be required to take a test for coronavirus (COVID-19) and undergo a period of self-isolation
