Just 58% of passengers at Queen Street said they were satisfied with the station, compared to 91% at the nearby Central station.

The maligned railway station is currently undergoing a £100 million renovation, which likely accounts for its abysmal ranking.

Gatwick Airport, Oxford and Clapham Junction were also slated by passengers, with each station being awarded 66%, 67% and 69% respectively.

London's busiest station, Kings Cross was named the best train station in the UK, with 96% of passengers saying they were satisfied with the the newly renovated terminus.
