Brougham pupils sang their hearts out back in ’81

They really did put their hearts into this song and we’re hoping you will tune in with your memories of this Hartlepool event.

Are you pictured among the Brougham Infants School pupils in Hartlepool.

We are hoping Hartlepool Mail followers recognise this scene from a practice session for a World Children’s Day service 38 years ago?

The youngsters were planning a big singalong in St Oswald’s Church and dozens of Brougham youngsters were involved in 1981.

Not only did they show off some fine voices, they also raised money for the Save The Children Fund.

But do you recall the occasion and what do you remember about it?

How much did you raise and can you recall your fellow singers?

We would love to hear from you and hope you will share some wonderful memories.

What do you recall about your time at Brougham Infants and which lessons did you love the most.

Can you remember the names of any of your teachers. Or is there another aspect of Hartlepool nostalgia you would prefer to remember?

Are you organising a reunion of former schoolmates, or perhaps a get-together of the pals you made at a former workplace?
