These parents and toddlers are pictured having a great time at a 1996 Swimtots session at the Mill House Leisure Centre.

Anyone from three months to four-years-old could get along and learn an appreciation of the water – and be given vital safety advice at the same time.

Britteny Seymour and Katy Pearson, both aged four, are enjoying their time in the water.

Were you one of the youngsters who got your first taste of swimming?

Centre manager Mark Hawkings said at the time: “With Swimtots, the emphasis is well and truly on fun. There are a variety of games which builds the child’s confidence.”
