The Hartlepool fighter beat the 18-year-old on a unanimous points verdict in the U75 kilo semis in Stralsund.

Marshall will now meet Germany’s Sarah Scheurich tomorrow night after the home hope defeated Canada’s world number two Ariane Fortin on a split decision.

The Headland middleweight took a silver medal at the Feliks Stamm Memorial tournament in Poland last month and will now look to go one better here in Northern Germany.

Marshall, 24, should look forward to the final with quiet confidence after two good wins in Stralsund, first against former world champion, Anna Laurell in the last eight, and then Parker this evening.

Parker has made a good entrance into the senior world elite after winning silver at the 2014 AIBA Youth World Championships and bronze at the Youth Olympics.

Cricket legend Adam Gilchrist was appointed as her mentor in the build up to next year’s Olympics so highly did Australian sport rate her.
