Hartlepool Elite Boxing Academy’s fight night
Hartlepool’s youngest club will stage 14 bouts at the Corporation Club including eight involving home boxers.
It is the second promotion by the Usworth Road-based team and coach Paul Barnes says they “can’t wait”.

Hide Ad“We have eight boxers on the show, we have new coaches at the club and Ian Glass, our conditioning coach.
“Glassy has worked wonders with condition of our boxers and diet plans he has put in place.
“We’d also like to thank our new sponsors, Steven and Jamie Horton, of Durham Tees Valley Scaffolding.”
There are three bouts involving boxers from Gus Robinson Developments, including the Cope brothers, Adam and Luke.

Hide AdAdam, now boxing as a senior without a headguard, faces Golden Gloves ABC boxer Marcel Braithwaite, while Luke, one of the best movers in a square ring, takes on Mohammed Hussain, from Sheffield City.
Team-mate Darren Coombs is also in action, tackling Birtley’s Owen Reece.
Elite parade eight of their boxers at the Whitby Street venue, including female fighter Shelby Brazell.
The teenager, younger sister of former Catholic Club star, Shaunna, has been matched against Grimsby’s Alisha Kay-Lewis.

Hide AdThe 17-year-old’s HEBA team-mates, Liam Dawson, Ben Henderson, Luke Allen, Harry Dunn, Jakub Setulski, Jordan Sanderson and Jordan Parker all have contests.
“We hope it’s going to be an exciting day of boxing,” added Barnes, one of the founders of the club in 2011.
“The Clippie Club has hosted a lot of shows and it’s a venue which generates a brilliant atmosphere.
“We can’t wait for Saturday.”
Doors open at 12.15pm with boxing due to start at 1pm
