Hartlepool & Horden boxer Anth Hardy knocked out by Sheffield's Sam O'maison in Rotherham

Anth Hardy's challenge for the vacant British Promoters light-welterweight Challenge belt ended in just 30 seconds in Rotherham.

The Hartlepool & Horden boxer was knocked out by a devastating combination by Sheffield’s Sam O’maison.

It was a brutal display of power by the 24-year-old, who caught his fellow southpaw cold at the Magna Centre.

Referee Howard Foster did not even start a count, immediately stopping the bout and removing Hardy’s gumshield.

Thankfully, Hardy recovered quickly and after a medical check was declared OK to return hoime with his family and fans.
