The 20-year-old has been learning the ropes of the pro game now for almost a year at the Gus Robinson Developments gym in Hartlepool.

And now the Horden fighter is ready to be let off the leash at Houghton this Sunday afternoon.

The welterweight will box Kent’s Mick Mills over four rounds at Rainton Meadows Arena, where he will be one of three debutants on the Colossal show.

“I don’t know a lot about the lad I’m fighting apart from he’s a southpaw,” Cammock said.

“All in all, I’ve probably been training down Gus Robinsons for a year.

“Obviously, that time has been spent learning about the pro game and improving my skills.

“But I absolutely can’t wait for Sunday.

“As soon as I was told I was on this show I was over the moon.

“Now it’s here I can’t wait to get in, I’m raring to go.”

Cammock will be joined by Gus Robinson Developments team-mate Daniel Cope on the promotion, the undefeated Hartlepool welter taking on Tom Whitfield, from Mal Gates’ South Shields gym.

There are debuts for Seaham’s Jordan Ellison and Sam Best, from Newcastle, in a 12-bout show.
