Savannah Marshall faces cricket legend Adam Gilchrist’s boxer Caitlin Parker in semi-final of Queens Cup in Germany
The Hartlepool boxer defeated the giant Swede by a unanimous points decision in Stralsund last night to set up a last-four meeting in the U75 kilo division with 18-year-old Australian sensation Caitlin Parker.
Marshall, coming back into form with the Olympic Games less than 10 months away, won on all three judges scorecards against Laurell.

Parker, number two in the world youth rankings, has made a brilliant switch to the senior middleweight division.
Such is her promise, Aussie sports bosses installed cricket legend, Adam Gilchrist, as her mentor in the build-up to the Olympic Games in Rio.
Parker beat Russia’s Saadat Abdulaeva in her quarter-final last night via a split decision.
