Savannah Marshall beat old rival Anna Laurell to reach the semi-final of the Queens Cup in Germany.

The Hartlepool boxer defeated the giant Swede by a unanimous points decision in Stralsund last night to set up a last-four meeting in the U75 kilo division with 18-year-old Australian sensation Caitlin Parker.

Marshall, coming back into form with the Olympic Games less than 10 months away, won on all three judges scorecards against Laurell.

It was a repeat of the win the Headland ABC star enjoyed in the Feliks Stamm Memorial tournament in Poland last month.

Parker, number two in the world youth rankings, has made a brilliant switch to the senior middleweight division.

Such is her promise, Aussie sports bosses installed cricket legend, Adam Gilchrist, as her mentor in the build-up to the Olympic Games in Rio.

Parker beat Russia’s Saadat Abdulaeva in her quarter-final last night via a split decision.

In the other side of the draw, Germany’s hope, Sarah Scheurich, faces Canada’s world number two Ariane Fortin, the boxer Marshall defeated when she struck gold in the 2014 Commonwealth Games final in Glasgow.
