Here are 10 former players new Hartlepool United manager Darren Sarll could look to reunite with this summer:

5. Luke Wilkinson
A more experienced defensive option, Wilkinson was an integral part of Sarll's sides at both Yeovil and Woking that reached the National League play-offs. While Pools already have veteran pair Tom Parkes and Luke Waterfall, Sarll could look to engineer a move for the 33-year-old, who is set to become a free agent at the end of this month after Woking opted not to renew his deal, to further bolster his new side's defensive mettle while also adding another character in the dressing room. 6. Myles Hippolyte
Pools do not have a single out-and-out winger on their books at the moment and so Sarll will surely be looking to bring in at least a couple of players capable of adding width to his side. Hippolyte, who has just been released by Dave Challinor's Stockport County, was one of Sarll's outstanding performers for Yeovil in 2020, scoring five goals in 34 appearances. Still only 29, the Grenadian international was an influential figure under Challinor as Stockport secured promotion back to the Football League and has continued to play an important role at Edgeley Park, although injuries hampered his progress towards the end of his time in Greater Manchester. He would, presumably, have to take a wage cut and also accept dropping back down a level, but it would be a real statement of intent if Pools could secure his signature. 7. Josh Casey
Last season, especially after Brody Paterson was sent out on loan, David Ferguson had to do all the heavy lifting at left-back and, providing the former York man agrees to a new deal, Sarll would surely like to sign cover for the 29-year-old. While the instinctive thing to do might be to look for someone with promise and potential, departing Woking captain Josh Casey would add experience, know-how and character - what he might add to the dressing room could be just as important as what he offers on the pitch. The 32-year-old, who played over 250 times for the Cardinals and is regarded as a legend at the Kingfield Stadium, is now available as a free agent. He alluded to commitments outside of football as being behind his Woking exit, which might complicate things, although a player-coach deal a la Nicky Featherstone could persuade him to think twice. 8. Reece Grego-Cox
Sarll signed the right-sided forward for Woking in the summer, returning for a second spell with the Cardinals. He is held in high regard in Surrey and scored six goals in 17 National League appearances last term, although injuries ensured he had something of a stop-start campaign. He has played in the Football League for Queens Park Rangers, Newport and Crawley and he might think that a move to Pools gives him a better chance of getting back there than if he were to remain at Woking. At 27, he should be close to his peak - providing he can stay fit - and Cardinals boss Michael Doyle has made him available for transfer this summer, so a move could make sense for all parties.
