The town’s club, Hartlepool United, had just achieved their first promotion in 14 years following a dramatic penalty shoot out victory over Torquay United in the National League promotion final at Ashton Gate.
As a result, the players and staff embarked on an open top bus parade around Hartlepool while supporters lined the streets and celebrated the memorable promotion.
The heart of the action during the evening could be witnessed in the area surrounding the Civic Centre where the songs, and drinks, were in full flow!
